Back to Dance - Term 2

24 Apr 2017 by Danielle Small

Hi Ladies & Gents,

Welcome back to Term 2, I hope you all enjoyed the Easter break!

Please note that dance fees are now due, please make payment ASAP. If you need to organise a payment plan please contact us. It is very important all fees are received on time to be able to provide you with the facilities and teachers to run our dance classes, and appreciate your assistance. If you have not received your fees, please let us know immediately.

All of our SSAD students are currently working towards their annual exams in July. Participation is optional, however highly recommended. It is a great opportunity for students to receive feedback from an external examiner about their progress and development. All students who participate receive a certificate, report and medal. I feel it is a great way for students to receive recognition for their hard work, and is a friendly and important experience. More information to come, exams will be July 24th-28th.

Please keep the 17th June free, for our Winter Recital. This is a small yet entertaining display on stage, allowing our students to show you what they have been working on this year. Students are already working on these routines and excited to showcase them for you. Please note this is not a large scale recital, most students will wear their class uniforms and perform a short dance routine. Information to follow, tickets will be available through our dance shop from the 30th May.

Dance Shop – Please note the shop is open on a Tuesday 3:30-5:30. However, parents can purchase items and pay fees any day of the week, you just need to let us know and we can send out a spare teacher when they are available. Alternatively, you can ask me or email and I can organise the items and send them home, and send you an invoice :) We feel this will cater to everyones needs, as some parents can not make it before 5:30.

Wishing you all a happy term of dance, please note classes are cancelled Anzac Day and Monday 1st of May due to public holidays. If any students are interested in make up classes, please just contact me and I can suggest an alternative.

Good luck to our students competing this weekend at Wynnum in Brisbane, we know you will do us proud!
